Recurrent success in Cambridge English Exams…100% success of the Near East Primary School

Near East primary school students achieved 100% success in the English exams that jointly organized by British Council and Cambridge University.

According to the info delivered by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations Office of the Near East University, 180 students aged between seven and twelve sat for the Cambridge English: Young Learners (YLE) exams that designed to assess the English language skills of children at three assessment levels; Starters, Movers and Flyers. It was stated that 89 students sat for Starters, 62 students sat for Movers, and 35 students sat for Flyers exams. 68 students received 100 out of 100, 58 students received 94 out of 100, 23 students received 87 out of 100, 14 students received 80 out of 100, 6 students received 67 out of 100, and 5 students received 60 out of 100.

Hasan YUKSELEN: "We aim to develop the students' English language skills including listening, reading and writing, speaking and understanding and phonetics.

In his remarks, the Near East Primary School Director Hasan YUKSELEN celebrated the students for their success in Cambridge English exams and extended his appreciations to the parents and the teachers in recognition of their contributions. "This recurrent success table of our students is a source of pride for us. I would like to take this opportunity and extend my hearty thanks to them, their teachers and parents. The schools under the roof of the Near East will continue to be a symbol of quality and success" said he.

Touching upon the importance that they attach on English language teaching, YUKSELEN underlined that they had never compromised quality education. He emphasized that they provided all possibilities required to enhance students' English language skills ranging from grammar to speaking and understanding.

Stating that the Near East Primary School graduates could express themselves in English in the best manner, Mr. YUKSELEN underlined the crucial role of the well-designed curriculum and competent English language teachers in achieving outstanding success in Cambridge English exams. These exams measure the English language skills of children with a reliable and valid assessment. To this end, we have set it as our goal to enhance the students' English language skills including understanding, speaking, phonetics, and the ability of thinking in English through a well-designed program and highly qualified teachers of English. Our students' continuous success in Cambridge English exams is the result of this mission. We will sustain the importance that we attach on foreign language teaching in an increasing manner” noted he.
