Having garnered great acclaim with its concerts throughout the 2025-2026 academic year, the Near East Primary School Children’s Choir gave its final concert of the year at Great Inn, following its performances in Nicosia, Kyrenia, and Yeniboğaziçi.

Having performed on multiple stages throughout the year, the Near East Primary School Children’s Choir, after meeting with students and parents at Near East Primary School, Near East Yeniboğaziçi Primary School, and Dr. Suat Günsel Kyrenia Primary School, gave a concert this time at Great Inn, the historical heart of Nicosia.

The students of Near East Primary School, whose schools are located on the Near East University Campus, which is a significant art center hosting museums and exhibitions, demonstrated through their children’s choir that they are not only spectators but also direct participants in the artistic atmosphere in which they grew up.

The Near East Primary School Children’s Choir gave one of its most special performances at Great Inn, one of Nicosia’s oldest cultural heritage sites. The event, which attracted great public interest and was attended by a large number of parents, turned into a veritable cultural feast. The children’s songs and Cypriot melodies sung by the students received great applause, and local and foreign tourists visiting the Great Inn joined in the enthusiasm by tapping their feet to the rhythm.

Fatma Coşar: “The children who sang confidently on stage today will be the beacons of hope who will shape the culture, art, and future of our country tomorrow.”

Emphasizing that Near East Primary School views art as an important educational tool that enriches students’ personal development, self-confidence, aesthetic perspective, and cultural knowledge, the school principal, Fatma Coşar, said, “We wholeheartedly believe that children who grow up with art become individuals who can think, create, share, and add value to their society.”

Coşar emphasized that the Near East Primary School Children’s Choir is one of the finest examples of this approach, stating, “While supporting our students in their academic achievements, we will continue to introduce them to art, culture, and aesthetic values. The children who sing confidently on stage today will be the beacons of hope who will shape the culture, art, and future of our country tomorrow. I sincerely thank our music teachers, our students, and our parents who have always been with us on this meaningful journey.”
