At the graduation ceremony held at Near East Primary School, 137 students completed their five-year learning journey and were sent off to middle school. During the night filled with pride for families and excitement for the students, graduation caps were thrown towards the future.
Near East Primary School completed another academic year with the joy of graduation. 137 students, who shared the same classrooms and learned and grew together for five years, bid farewell to their primary school years and took their first steps into middle school life at the ceremony. The happiness of the students and the pride of their families were reflected throughout the campus during the ceremony.
The ceremony began with a magnificent entrance and procession of the students. Following a moment of silence and the reading of National Anthem, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Near East Enterprises, Prof. Dr. İrfan Suat Günsel, the School Principal Fatma Coşar, and Helin Ezel Güher, speaking on behalf of the graduating students, delivered opening speeches. The speeches highlighted the students’ development and achievements during their education.
As part of the program, students enjoyed pleasant moments with music and entertainment events held before and after the ceremony. The tempo increased with a DJ performance, and the most exciting moment of the night, the cap-throwing ceremony, allowed students to celebrate their graduation with enthusiasm. The ceremony concluded with students immortalizing this special day with their families and teachers through commemorative photos.
Prof. Dr. İrfan Suat Günsel: “Look at your new world waiting to be discovered with courage, question, dream, believe in yourselves. We believe in you, and we are proud of all of you!”
Prof. Dr. İrfan Suat Günsel, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Near East Enterprises, stated that Near East Primary School was experiencing the joy of sending another generation off into the future, saying, “After years spent with hard work, learning, friendships, and beautiful memories, you are opening the door to a new journey.” Prof. Dr. Günsel also noted that Near East Primary School is located in the heart of the Near East University campus. Prof. Dr. İrfan Suat Günsel emphasized that students here not only acquire academic knowledge but also grow immersed in art, science, culture, and sports. Prof. Dr. Günsel said, “You have learned to be curious, to conduct research, and to express your thoughts freely. This was precisely our greatest goal.”
Stating that they view education as a long-term journey, Prof. Dr. Günsel said that in line with the vision set forth by Founding Rector Dr. Suat Günsel, they aim to provide students with the same quality of education from pre-school to university. Prof. Dr. Günsel added that, with this understanding, the Dr. Suat Günsel Scholarship and Full Education Scholarship programs, implemented in secondary education, have been expanded to include higher education. He thanked the teachers and parents. İrfan Suat Günsel, addressing the graduating students, said, “There is a vast world waiting to be discovered before you. Look at that world with courage. Don’t be afraid to question. Don’t give up on dreaming. Believe in yourselves. We believe in you and are proud of all of you.”
Fatma Coşar: “This farewell is not an end, but a turning point that opens the door to new beginnings.”
Fatma Coşar, the principal of Near East Primary School, emphasized in her speech at the graduation ceremony that the students had not only completed an educational period. They had left behind an important process in which they grew through learning, formed friendships, and shaped their dreams. Stating that true success cannot be measured solely by academic results, Coşar expressed that being a good person, doing what is right, never giving up on work, and preserving the goodness in one’s heart are the greatest achievements.
Thanking the parents and teachers for their efforts and contributions to the students’ development, Coşar said that they were proud of the achievements of the Near East Primary School students. Addressing the students, Coşar said, “The future is in your hands. Wherever you go, you will carry the love and values of your school. This farewell is not an end, it is a turning point that opens the door to new beginnings, new hopes, and new successes. May your path be clear and your luck abundant.”
Helin Ezel Güher: “We are confidently stepping into our new journey with the values we learned in primary school!”
Speaking on behalf of the graduating students, Helin Ezel Güher said they were experiencing the excitement and pride of successfully completing primary school. She stated that they learned not only academic knowledge but also values they would carry throughout their lives, such as friendship, sharing, honesty, and respect. Güher added that the memories they experienced in the classrooms and schoolyard would always hold a special place in their minds. Thanking their teachers who guided them with love and their families who always supported them, Güher emphasized that the friendships they formed with their friends were one of the most valuable gains in their lives. Saying they were ready to step into middle school, Güher said, “New knowledge, new friendships, and new experiences await us. We promise to be beneficial individuals for our society in line with the values we have gained during out primary school education.”
