Near East Pre-School is ready for the 2017-2018 Academic Year

Near East Pre-school has completed all the necessary preparations for the new academic year; aiming to continue to provide the standard and quality of education provided before and event take things further. It has made additions to its structural and educational curriculums.

According to the press info release issued by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations of Near East University, alongside making renovations to the Near East Pre-school classrooms changes and additions were also made to the applied curriculums.


Environmental Education will be starting from age 5…
Providing details regarding changes at the school, Headmistress of Near East Pre-school Beklem Rıza expressed that they had developed the educational programmes administered at the school in accordance with the developmental needs of children. She explained that they had embedded sustainable environment lesson into the curriculum of age 5s, and stressed that they focused on natural environmental education within sustainable framework.

Furthermore, she provided details regarding this lesson and said that children could individually participate in activities and acquire knowledge on the environment; which is regarding having respect to the environment, working to sustain it and protect natural resources. She also expressed that they aimed children to be self-recognised, living in harmony in their community and the environment. Beklem Rıza added that they wanted their students to be aware of the environment which they are living in, and know that all individuals are inseparable from it; and that harming the environment was as equal to harming one’s self.


We are using an eclectic approach to education…
Beklem Rıza emphasised that the Near East Pre-school administered an eclectic approach to education; using the appropriate method of education at the correct time and the correct point causing the students to be creative, open to new horizons, aware of one’s culture and values. Therefore, she stressed that they aimed to raise individuals in the best possible way and enable young students to have a good initial experience in education.
